How to repair broken documents?

Text Recovery Converter is an additional facility in MS Word to open and repair the files damaged. Unfortunately, this facility is not installed automatically. You must install it yourself. Here's how.
1. Open the Control Panel. Double-click the icon "Add and Remove Programs".
2. In the dialog box Add and Remove Programs, search for MS Office programs installed, such as Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003.
3. Click the "Change".
4. Select "Add and Remove Feature", then click "Next",
5. In the dialog box "Microsoft Office Setup", check the option "Choose Advanced Customization of Applications", followed by clicking the "Next".
6. In the list of existing features, search for "Converters and Filters", then click the "+".
7. Select "Text Converters" and give the option "Run from My Computer".
8. Click "Update".

After the Text Recovery converter installed, you can use this facility to open the damaged file. How? This is it.
1. Open MS Word program, then click "File> Open ...".
2. Select the file is corrupted documents.
3. Click the small arrow on the right side of the "Open".
4. In the drop down menu that opens, select "Open and Repair".

Check back later, open the file. Indeed, not all text can be recovery, but at least you do not need to rewrite the entire document has been created.
